Lamar Valley is the famous place in Yellowstone to see wildlife. This painting recalls a time when we drove in before the sunrise to try to catch a glimpse of wolves. We were lucky enough to see wolf pups playing through the scope of a wolf biologist who told us the story of the pack as we stood in the still, cold air.
